As expected, the outstanding Veronica Mars was completely ignored for Emmy consideration. It's such a shame because Kristen Bell is an incredible actress who is continually dismissed because she's playing a high school character on a UPN show. For shame. And the whole show is so engrossing and nuanced. Too bad.
Not much love for Battlestar Galactica, either. I'm not all that upset, though. SciFi will always be overlooked. I've accepted it.
Huzzah for Hugh Laurie for House. I like that show a lot, but it wouldn't be watchable without Hugh Laurie.
And oh my fucking god, The Wire! Far and away the highest quality program ever produced finally gets a wee tiny bit of Emmy recognition. It's only one nomination and it's for writing, but I'll take it. The writing is the best part of the show, but everything else is so good, too. gah
I'm happy for Scrubs, too. I don't watch that show all that often, but whenever I do I'm laughing out loud.
Lost and Desperate Housewives are overrated. I like them fine, but all those nominations are too much. Huzzah for Naveen Andrews, though.
